Is GTA 6 coming in 2025 or 2026?

Although Rockstar Games has announced that GTA 6 will be released in 2025, only one teaser trailer has been released to date. This trailer revealed that players will play as two characters, Lucia and Jason, in an action-packed crime story set in Vice City. In particular, Vice City’s iconic Florida-inspired atmosphere was much talked about by fans of the series.

For now, however, Rockstar’s silence is creating disappointment among fans. Some industry sources even suggest that GTA 6 could be delayed until 2026. They expect more information about the release date to be shared in the next trailer of the game.

Looking at the promotional process of GTA 5, the first trailer was released in 2011 and the game was released two years later. Rockstar is expected to follow a similar marketing tactic and release new information and trailers throughout 2025. But because of the company’s past delays, fans are rightly being a little more cautious in their expectations.

GTA 6 looks set to be a historic milestone not just for Rockstar, but for the entire gaming industry. Given the worldwide success of GTA 5, the hype for the next installment in the series is understandable.
