Sony is working on movies for these two incredible games!
At CES 2025, PlayStation Productions revealed that two beloved games are being adapted for the big screen. According to the announcement, last year’s breakout hit Helldivers 2 and the long-standing fan favorite Horizon Zero Dawn are being developed into films in collaboration with Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures.

The Helldivers 2 film is being developed by PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures, with significant progress already made in its production. This sci-fi action game, known for its “Democracy Strikes Back” slogan, places players in cooperative missions within a unique universe. The film adaptation is expected to deliver the same high-octane action that fans loved in the game.
Meanwhile, the Horizon Zero Dawn film is still in its early development stages. Brought to life through a collaboration between Columbia Pictures and PlayStation Productions, this project will explore the origins of the series’ protagonist, Aloy. Initially planned as a Netflix series, the project has since been converted into a feature film. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the movie is expected to stand out with its stunning visual effects and immersive atmosphere.

Lastly, Naughty Dog’s president Neil Druckmann shared a brief clip teasing the highly anticipated second season of *The Last of Us* series. The new season, set to premiere in April on HBO Max, is already generating significant excitement.
