Miyazaki’s statements on Bloodborne 2 and Bloodborne PC!

Since its release in 2015, Bloodborne has remained largely mysterious, with no news about a PC version or a sequel over the past 10 years. However, new developments have surfaced. The creator of the game and a key figure at FromSoftware, Hayao Miyazaki, has broken his silence regarding the series’ future. Here are the details…

Miyazaki Hasn’t Closed the Door on Bloodborne

Miyazaki’s comments on Bloodborne came to light following remarks from former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida during a Kinda Funny Gamescast episode. When asked, “Will we see Bloodborne again?” Yoshida offered an insightful answer.

Yoshida’s comments:
“Miyazaki-san really loves Bloodborne. He knows exactly what he created with it, and that’s why he’s so interested. However, he’s so successful and so busy that he’s unable to do it himself. At the same time, he doesn’t want anyone else to take over.”

These words are key in understanding why Bloodborne has been silent for so long. According to Yoshida, Miyazaki’s sensitivity to the project is respected by the PlayStation team, and no pressure is being put on the legendary producer.

Miyazaki’s previous statements also align with Yoshida’s theory. In an interview in 2023, Miyazaki stated, “I’m not against Bloodborne coming to PC,” hinting that the project is not within his control. Since FromSoftware doesn’t hold the publishing rights to Bloodborne, Miyazaki doesn’t have the final say on the series’ future.

While these statements don’t provide definitive hope for a sequel or a PC release, they do show that the series hasn’t been forgotten. Miyazaki’s attachment to the project suggests that there might still be a chance for its future.
