The Samsung Galaxy S25 and Apple iPhone 16 Pro are among the most striking models among compact flagship phones. Both devices offer the most up-to-date hardware and software features, but due to their different ecosystems, user experiences are quite different. In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S25 is lighter, thinner, and feels more compact in the hand. The device measures 146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2 mm and weighs 162 grams, making it more portable than its rival. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Pro measures 149.6 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs 199 grams, making it noticeably heavier and thicker. The iPhone 16 Pro’s titanium frame and Ceramic Shield glass offer a more durable structure compared to Samsung’s aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. While both devices are IP68 certified, Apple’s device is water resistant up to 6 meters, while Samsung offers protection up to 1.5 meters.

On the screen side, both models use LTPO OLED panels and have a 120Hz refresh rate. While the Galaxy S25’s 6.2-inch screen has a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a pixel density of 416 ppi, the iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch screen, a resolution of 1206×2622 pixels and a pixel density of 460 ppi. In addition, the iPhone’s screen offers Dolby Vision support, while the Samsung does not. In terms of brightness, the iPhone 16 Pro offers a better performance with a maximum brightness of 1764 nits compared to the Galaxy S25’s 1395 nits. However, the notch at the top of the screen covers more screen area compared to Samsung’s punch-hole camera design.
In terms of battery performance, both devices have advantages in different usage scenarios. While the Galaxy S25 offers better results in talk time and game performance with its 4000 mAh battery, the iPhone 16 Pro’s 3582 mAh battery offers longer life in web browser and video watching scenarios. While the Galaxy S25’s talk time is 27 hours and 40 minutes, the iPhone 16 Pro offers 23 hours and 38 minutes. In terms of video playback time, the iPhone 16 Pro’s 13 hours and 58 minutes of performance is clearly superior to the Galaxy S25’s 9 hours and 52 minutes.
In terms of charging speed, the Galaxy S25 completes its full charge in 77 minutes with 25W wired charging, while the iPhone 16 Pro charges in 98 minutes despite 39W support. Although it is seen that the iPhone charges faster in the first 15 and 30 minutes, the Galaxy S25 has the advantage in terms of full charge time.
In terms of sound performance, the Galaxy S25 has a higher volume with -26.1 LUFS, while the iPhone 16 Pro offers a slightly lower volume output with -27.3 LUFS. However, Apple’s sound calibration offers a more balanced sound in terms of music listening experience, as it has warmer tones and powerful bass.
In performance tests, the Galaxy S25’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor provides a significant advantage over the iPhone 16 Pro’s Apple A18 Pro chip. In the Geekbench 6 multi-core test, the S25 scores 10,050 points, while the iPhone 16 Pro remains at 8,283 points. In graphics tests, the Galaxy S25 scores 6,755 points in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test, leaving the iPhone 16 Pro’s performance of 4,898 points behind by 38 percent. In addition, the Galaxy S25 comes with 12GB of RAM, while all models of the iPhone 16 Pro use 8GB of RAM. On the storage side, both devices start with 128GB as the base model, but the iPhone 16 Pro offers up to 1TB of storage, which is a big advantage. In addition, the iPhone uses NVMe storage, while the Galaxy S25 has UFS 4.0 technology. However, the 128GB S25 model probably uses the slower UFS 3.1.
In terms of camera features, the iPhone 16 Pro is equipped with a 48MP main camera, a 12MP 5x telephoto lens, and a 48MP ultrawide camera, while the Galaxy S25 has a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. In terms of shooting quality, the iPhone 16 Pro is one step ahead in dynamic range, detail level, and low-light performance. However, the Galaxy S25’s 3x telephoto camera offers better results than Apple’s 3x digital cropping method. The 5x zoom is to the iPhone 16 Pro’s advantage.
