If you have a Space Gray MacBook, it may be worth more today. Because as we have seen, the MacBook Air M4 comes in four colors, and space gray is not among them. Apparently, this color has been replaced by another “space” or rather “celestial” color, namely sky blue.
Why didn’t Apple launch the “Space Gray” color on the M4 MacBook Air model?
If you recall, Apple first introduced the Space Gray color in 2013, with the launch of the iPhone 5s. Two years later, in 2015, the MacBook Pro got this color, and in 2018, the MacBook Air also started to be produced in this color. But it seems that Apple itself was a fan of this color, or at least found it so versatile and universal that it only produced its iMac Pro models in Space Gray.

But with the MacBook Pro (M4), a turning point occurred: Space Gray is no longer an option. It was replaced by Space Black. The situation is a little different in MacBook Air models. Here, Space Gray has given way to sky blue. This color is offered to users with Midnight, Starlight and Silver colors.
Actually, blue tones are not completely new colors in Apple products. For example, AirPods Max headphones come in a blue option. Similarly, blue is also available in basic iMac models. In addition, black is increasingly prominent; whether it is Space Black, Jet Black (glossy black) or Midnight.
As a result, Space Gray color is only available in two products in Apple’s product range: the iPad Air M3 introduced yesterday and the iPad mini A17 Pro introduced last fall. There are now two alternatives for Space Gray lovers: Opting for a lighter silver color or going for the Space Black color of the MacBook Pro in particular. Those who prefer this color state that the device can look gray in some lighting conditions.
