The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has established a special team of 10 people regarding the increasing vandalism and arson incidents targeting Tesla. According to the information reported by the New York Post, this initiative was launched after Tesla CEO Elon Musk, former US President Donald Trump and some politicians described the attacks as “domestic terrorism”.
FBI has decided to protect Tesla against attacks
FBI Director Kash Patel stated in a statement on the social media platform X that the violent incidents targeting Tesla have increased and that they have taken comprehensive steps to prevent these actions. The special FBI team will closely monitor the large-scale protests called “Tesla Takedown” planned to be held on March 29.

In addition to the protests, a website called “Dogeque.st” has also caught the FBI’s radar. The site in question allegedly discloses information about Tesla owners and facilities. Investigations into the site revealed that the platform is managed from the African country of Sao Tome. The FBI has decided to activate its international connections following these claims.
The seriousness of the incidents has increased with the discovery of multiple incendiary devices at a Tesla store in Austin, Texas. Authorities will conduct a comprehensive investigation to identify the individuals or groups that placed such devices.
While US laws can take tough measures against international terror groups, there is no similar legal framework for domestic terror groups. Experts say that classifying the actions against Tesla as “domestic terrorism” could provide security agencies with broader powers.
