China-based BYD’s premium brand Denza introduced its new concept vehicle for the sports car segment, Denza Z, at the Shanghai Auto Show. The brand, which draws attention with its electric vehicle technologies, entered the performance-oriented vehicle category with this model.
Sports car Denza Z introduced
The vehicle reflects Denza’s new design philosophy called “Pure Emotion”. The body structure shaped with aerodynamic lines serves not only an aesthetic but also a functional function. The suspension system in the vehicle is also supported by the magnetic fluid technology called DiSus-M.

Another feature included in the Denza Z was the radical change made to the steering system. Thanks to BYD’s steer-by-wire technology, there are no classical mechanical steering connections in the vehicle. Instead, the system, which works completely with electronic control, is offered with a foldable steering wheel. This structure contributes to driving safety while also enabling more efficient use of the interior space.
The concept model comes with Denza’s three-motor drive system called e3. There is also independent steering technology on the rear wheels. This system, previously seen on Denza models such as the Z9, Z9GT and N9, will be integrated into a sports car for the first time.
Denza Z signals that the brand will be present not only in the SUV and luxury segments, but also in the field of high-performance sports cars. So what do you think about the vehicle? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
