Nvidia and Foxconn have partnered to build a giant supercomputer based on artificial intelligence in Taiwan. The project, announced as part of Computex 2025, will include 10,000 graphics processing units using Nvidia’s next-generation Blackwell architecture.

The system, defined as the “AI factory supercomputer,” will be offered to researchers, technology startups, and industry representatives with its high processing power. Nvidia has also started building a new-generation center to support this supercomputer.

The project is being carried out with the investment support of the Taiwan National Science and Technology Council. The council wants to turn the country into a global “artificial intelligence island” within the scope of the project. Foxconn will undertake the entire infrastructure supply of the supercomputer.
The system will be used not only for academic and scientific research, but also for Foxconn’s own projects. The company plans to use this supercomputer especially in smart city infrastructures, electric vehicle systems, and production lines.
It is stated that the data processing power of the system will be used in areas such as increasing the efficiency of connected transportation systems, optimizing public services and developing advanced driver assistance systems.
TSMC, one of the largest technology partners of the project, will also benefit from the high performance offered by the supercomputer. The company’s R&D units will use this processing power in the development of next-generation semiconductor technologies.
