The new trailer for the Superman movie has been shared
James Gunn, known for the Guardians of the Galaxy series, has stepped behind the camera for DC’s most iconic character, Superman. This movie is the first step in the new universe started from scratch by Warner Bros. and DC Films.
While the previous cinematic universe is completely left behind, the Superman character played by Henry Cavill is also replaced by young actor David Corenswet. Corenswet will meet the audience as Clark Kent for the first time in this movie.
The new trailer offers a clearer look at the characters at the center of the story as well as the names in the supporting roles. Rachel Brosnahan plays the lead role as Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult plays Lex Luthor. The cast also includes many actors such as Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan and Wendell Pierce.
The film does not only focus on Superman’s origins. Different DC heroes such as Green Lantern and Hawkgirl are also featured in this production. There is also information that some surprise characters such as Supergirl will make brief appearances in the film.
The production is seen as a critical threshold for DC’s future. Superman, which will be released on July 11, will be closely monitored in this context in terms of both box office success and audience reaction.
