New leaks regarding AMD’s future processor plans have revealed important details about the Zen 7 architecture. While the Zen 6 series has not yet been made official, according to the latest information, AMD is preparing for a new era in desktop processors with Zen 7.
AMD will come out with the Zen 7 architecture
It is stated that the Zen 7 architecture will come with a new socket structure called AM6. After AMD’s long-used AM4 and subsequent AM5 sockets, this change means an important transition for users in terms of hardware compatibility.

With the new socket, multi-core structures that require higher power and bandwidth will be supported. According to the information in the leaks, Zen 7 processors will be designed with a dual 16-core chiplet structure.
This architecture will offer a total of 32 cores and 64 threads. The configuration in question brings with it an unprecedented core density for desktop systems. It is also stated that these chips will be supported by AMD’s V-Cache technology, which offers high cache capacity. The increased V-Cache will contribute to increased performance, especially in gaming and creative production-focused applications.
AMD announced at Computex 2024 that the current Zen 5 architecture will be supported until 2027. This statement reveals that there is still a long timeframe for Zen 6 and Zen 7. While there is currently no official information about the release date of Zen 7, the series is expected to be released in a few years.
