Xiaomi achieved significant success with the 11 Ultra model it launched in 2021. In addition to its powerful features, the smartphone came with a small 1.1-inch AMOLED rear screen. This panel could be used for quick message previews, always-on display functions, and as a selfie monitor. However, this feature was later removed and the successor models did not include a secondary screen. The latest reports indicate that the company is preparing to bring back this technology.
Xiaomi 16 Pro Max may come with a secondary screen
The latest information shared by Digital Chat Station indicates that Xiaomi is working on a new flagship device that will offer a full-size secondary screen on the back. Although it is not certain at the moment, it is said that the phone will be called Xiaomi 16 Pro Max. It is claimed that this will replace the Xiaomi 15 Pro, while it is suggested that Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro will continue on their way as more compact models of the series.

As is known, the CEO of the Chinese brand, Lei Jun, said in a statement at the time that the biggest challenge of integrating this screen into devices was not actually the cost, but finding space inside the case without compromising battery life or component placement. This is probably why we haven’t seen the technology in the follow-up models.
In addition to these, it is claimed that the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. As is known, the chipset entered performance tests in the past days. It is said that the processor, which managed to get 4 thousand points in single core and 11 thousand points in multi-core, will be produced with 3 nm architecture.
