Selçuklu Autistic Individuals Education Foundation (SOBE) is establishing the world’s first licensed autistic e-sports team in order to support autistic individuals to participate more actively in social life. The project, announced under the title of “They Win with Their Differences”, is not just a sports initiative; it is a strong social responsibility movement focused on inclusiveness, social participation and awareness.
The project, which was planned by taking into account the visual-oriented thinking skills, interest in digital platforms and strategy development abilities of individuals on the autism spectrum, will be based on the e-sports discipline. Team members will be selected from autistic individuals who can play games with their peers, make strategic decisions and adapt to the rules. Special education specialists, psychologists and professional e-sports coaches will accompany the process.
Players supported by individual development programs within the scope of the project will participate in tournaments, take part in media channels and contribute to raising awareness about autism in society. In this respect, the project aims not only at the individual development of autistic individuals but also at the transformation of social perception.
With this initiative, SOBE Foundation will bring to life a first not only in Turkey but also at a global level. The foundation draws attention to the fact that this process also constitutes an example of inclusive social responsibility.
Institutions that support the project will gain visibility through uniforms, events, media statements and digital promotions. In addition, the reliability and strong social network of the SOBE Foundation will ensure that a positive brand perception is created in the public.
The “They Win with Their Differences” project will transform the playground into a platform of equal opportunity and social sensitivity, contributing to the positioning of autistic individuals as individuals who are not just spectators but also take an active role in the field.
