There are four different model codes affected, and Sony recommends users to force restart their devices by holding the power and volume up buttons for 20 seconds. Additionally, a new software update with version number 71.0.A.2.43 has been released, but it is not yet confirmed whether this fully resolves the issue.

The Xperia 1 VII features a 6.5-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with a high refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chipset and comes with 12 GB of RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. The device runs on Android 15 and comes with a long-term update guarantee.
Its 5,000 mAh battery promises up to two days of usage on a single charge thanks to improved energy efficiency. The triple camera setup includes a 48 MP main sensor, a 12 MP telephoto lens, and a 48 MP ultra-wide lens. With IP68 certification, the phone is resistant to water and dust, and it also features a 3.5 mm headphone jack along with Walkman series audio components. Available in black, purple, and green, the device is priced around 1,500 euros in Europe.
