TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan Welcomes Naval Innovation in Gölcük
Turkey is preparing to host the highly anticipated TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan, a prestigious event dedicated to maritime defense and naval technology, scheduled to take place from August 20-23, 2026. Hosted at the Gölcük Shipyard Command in Kocaeli, the festival is organized under the joint coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation). This year, the event aims to showcase the country’s advancements in underwater systems and naval defense, offering the public a unique opportunity to interact with the cutting-edge technology that defines the future of maritime security.

A primary highlight of TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan involves the exhibition of Turkey’s elite naval fleet. Visitors will have the chance to explore legendary vessels and modern warships, including the TCG Anadolu, TCG İstanbul, and the TCG Oruçreis. Additionally, the event features key submarines like the TCG 18 Mart and TCG Murat Reis, providing a rare glimpse into the operational power of the Turkish Navy.
Young Engineers Compete for Maritime Excellence
The festival serves as a critical incubator for innovation by hosting three distinct technology competitions focused on Unmanned Underwater Systems, Underwater Rockets, and Unmanned Surface Vehicles. These contests challenge talented engineers to demonstrate autonomous capabilities in complex mission scenarios.

Special Forces Showcase Operational Skills
Beyond static exhibits, the event features high-octane demonstrations by the elite SAT and SAS commando units. These displays provide attendees with a direct look at the specialized operational readiness of the Turkish Deniz Kuvvetleri. Aerial support from naval aviation units further enhances the dynamic nature of the program, ensuring a comprehensive experience for all guests.
Interactive Technologies Enhance Visitor Experience
To deepen public engagement, the festival grounds include immersive zones featuring virtual reality, historical retrospectives of maritime culture, and interactive defense technology exhibits. 
Logistics Ensure Seamless Attendance
To manage the expected influx of visitors, the organizers have implemented a structured three-session daily schedule: 09.00-12.00, 12.00-15.00, and 15.00-18.00. While entry is free, all participants must register online in advance. 
Free maritime transport from İzmit-Kavaklı and Tütünçiftlik-Derince lines, along with dedicated shuttle buses, will provide easy access to the Gölcük site.
Grand Maritime Parade Signals Commencement
The festivities officially begin with a spectacular maritime and aerial parade on August 19. Spanning from Yalova to Derince, the procession features major warships and a flyover by Bayraktar TB2, TB3, and AKINCI drones. The event will culminate with a breathtaking performance by the Turkish Stars aerobatic team at 14.20. 
This grand display serves as a powerful testament to the unity of Turkey’s air and sea power.
