The global launch date of Honor’s new generation foldable phone, the Magic V5, has been officially announced. The model, which was introduced in China, will be introduced to the international market at an event to be held in Malaysia on July 15. In this period when the competition in the foldable phone segment is getting heated, Honor is preparing to make an ambitious entrance with the Magic V5 in terms of both design and technical features.
Honor Magic V5 will say hello to the global market
One of the most important features of the Magic V5 that draws attention is its 5,820 mAh battery. There is a 7.95-inch LTPO AMOLED screen inside the device. There is a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED panel on the outer cover. Both screens promise a high-level viewing experience with high refresh rates and HDR support.

On the hardware side, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is used. The device, which comes with 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB storage options, is among the most powerful models in its segment in terms of performance.
The camera hardware also offers a powerful structure. There are 20 MP resolution cameras on both the inner and outer screens. On the back, there is a 50 MP main camera with OIS support, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera. This system provides flexible and high-level performance in both photo and video shooting.
Offering 66W fast wired and 50W wireless charging support on the charging and connection side, the Magic V5 comes with a USB-C 3.1 port. The device also includes an infrared sensor, a fingerprint reader positioned on the side and a dual speaker system. Weighing 217 grams and only 8.8 mm thick, the Magic V5 also stands out with its easy-to-carry and thin structure.
The Honor Magic V5 is in the same league as competitors such as Oppo, Vivo and Samsung in the foldable phone market. The position of the model in the international market and the feedback from users will become clear after the global launch on July 15.
