Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Watch8 series, bringing refined design, advanced wellness insights, and new AI-powered tools to the wrist. With thinner profiles, improved sensors, and personalized features, these new wearables aim to be the ultimate daily health companions from sleep to serious workouts.
Galaxy Watch8 series focuses on comfort and performance

Borrowing the cushion-shaped design from the Galaxy Watch Ultra, both the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic are now thinner and lighter than before. Samsung says internal structure improvements trimmed the overall size by 11%, while the Dynamic Lug system makes the watch move naturally with your wrist for better stability and comfort.
Despite the slimmer form, the new models don’t hold back on performance. Peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits for full visibility even in direct sunlight, and the new 3nm processor boosts power efficiency across the board. Plus, dual-frequency GPS improves tracking precision, whether you’re walking through city streets or hiking remote trails.
Wellness features go deeper with new insights
Samsung is doubling down on health. The Galaxy Watch8 series introduces a new wave of wellness metrics through Samsung Health, aiming to help users build lasting habits.
Some key additions include:
- Antioxidant Index: Measures carotenoid levels in 5 seconds
- Vascular Load: Monitors stress on your blood vessels during sleep
- Bedtime Guidance: Suggests ideal sleep times based on circadian rhythms
- Running Coach: Rates fitness 1–10 and builds a custom training plan
- AI Energy Score: Combines physical and mental energy to track daily readiness
It even detects potential signs of sleep apnea and provides real-time alerts when high stress levels are detected.
Galaxy Watch8 brings smarter AI with Wear OS and Gemini
The Galaxy Watch8 series is the first to include Google’s Gemini AI on Wear OS 6. Users can issue voice commands hands-free for workouts, messages, and more. It’s fast, simple, and responsive. The new One UI 8 Watch adds quick-glance tools like Multi-Info Tiles. Notifications and health data are easier to view thanks to a cleaner, streamlined layout.
Models and colors designed for every lifestyle
The Galaxy Watch8 comes in 44mm and 40mm sizes with Graphite and Silver finishes. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic goes bigger with a 46mm design and adds a rotating bezel, offered in Black or White.
For the rugged crowd, the Galaxy Watch Ultra returns as Samsung’s most durable option, now available in four titanium finishes, including a bold new Titanium Blue.
Galaxy Watch8 series sets a new bar for smart wellness
Whether you’re chasing sleep goals, fitness milestones, or just want smarter AI on your wrist, the Galaxy Watch8 series blends intuitive design with serious tech upgrades. It’s not just thinner, it’s sharper, smarter, and built to fit right into your day. Pre-orders are open now, with general availability starting July 25.
