Nvidia is preparing to launch its long-rumored RTX 50 SUPER series graphics cards earlier than expected. Previously expected to be unveiled in early 2026, the next-generation graphics cards are now expected to hit shelves before the end of 2025. The series consists of the RTX 5080 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 5070 SUPER models.
The RTX 50 SUPER series is here!
All cards are based on the Blackwell architecture and are manufactured using TSMC’s 4N manufacturing process. All models feature GDDR7 memory, significantly increasing VRAM capacity. The RTX 5070 SUPER model features 18GB of GDDR7 memory, while the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER and RTX 5080 SUPER models feature 24GB of GDDR7 memory. This increase is made possible by GDDR7 modules developed by SK hynix, which offer a capacity of 3GB.

Memory configurations have also been expanded on the new graphics cards. The RTX 5070 SUPER offers 18GB of memory over a 192-bit memory bus, while the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER and RTX 5080 SUPER, which use a 256-bit interface, come with 24GB of memory. The cards’ bandwidth has also been increased compared to previous models, reaching up to 1024 GB/s for the RTX 5080 SUPER.
A significant performance increase is also evident. The RTX 5070 SUPER’s CUDA core count has been increased from 6144 to 6400, while the Tensor and Ray Tracing cores have also been increased. While boost frequencies have not yet been announced, higher values are targeted compared to previous versions. The RTX 5080 SUPER’s power consumption, in particular, has increased to 415W. This card stands out as the top-of-the-line model in the series, boasting 24GB of GDDR7 memory and a wide-band architecture.
The fact that all models share the same architecture and manufacturing technology demonstrates that Nvidia is positioning the SUPER series not as just minor revisions but as a significant technical update. There’s also a notable increase in TGP values. Power consumption is announced as 275W for the RTX 5070 SUPER, 350W for the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER, and 415W for the RTX 5080 SUPER.
While a definitive release date hasn’t been announced yet, Nvidia is expected to release these cards towards the end of 2025. With this timing coinciding with the holiday season, the company is expected to generate high demand by releasing its next-generation cards, particularly during the holiday season.
