The heart of the automotive world is once again beating at the IAA MOBILITY 2025, which will be held in Munich. Mercedes-Benz, one of the most ambitious exhibitors at the show, which will feature a showcase of major brands, is clearly demonstrating its leadership in the electric mobility era by launching one of its most comprehensive product launches to date. The German giant’s biggest trump card this year will be the world premiere of the new GLC, which carries the legacy of the brand’s best-selling model onto an all-electric platform.
The All-Electric Mercedes GLC Takes the Stage
The star of Mercedes-Benz’s main stand in the “Open Space” and Hall B3 at Apothekenhof in Munich will undoubtedly be the all-new GLC with EQ Technology. This model is described as more than just an electric version of an existing vehicle; it is the first in a new series that represents the brand’s future design language and technological vision. Company officials emphasize that this vehicle, which they emphasize as a purposeful, refined GLC in every detail, retains all the comfort, safety, and versatility expected from the brand’s best-selling SUV. The new model, which seamlessly continues the GLC’s iconic heritage in its electric form, aims to attract attention with its fluid lines, intuitive user experience, and quiet power.
Mercedes-Benz’s Munich unveiling doesn’t end there. The brand is bringing together all of its current and future electric and electrified models, ranging from compacts and performance sedans to luxury SUVs and multi-purpose vehicles, under one roof. Among the other significant innovations set to premiere at the show is the all-new CLA family, which will be available with both fully electric and high-tech hybrid powertrain options. The most anticipated member of this family is the CLA Shooting Brake, the brand’s first fully electric model in a station wagon style. This model is poised to open a new chapter in its segment, combining elegance, sportiness, and the practicality of electric mobility.
Looking even further ahead, Mercedes-Benz is offering the first glimpse of its future plans in the luxury segment by unveiling a camouflaged prototype of its all-new, all-electric VLE model, which it describes as the “Grand Limousine,” and plans to hit the roads in 2026.
Mercedes-Benz has prepared a surprise that will excite performance enthusiasts at its stand in Hall B3. The CONCEPT AMG GT XX, which stands out with its eye-catching design, cutting-edge technology, and promise of pure performance, will be on display here for the first time. This concept car offers a concrete preview of what the first production model based on AMG’s in-house developed high-performance AMG.EA platform will look like. This platform is seen as the clearest demonstration of how AMG will reinterpret its “driving performance” philosophy in the electric age.
Technology and innovation are another key theme of the show. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the latest innovations, from revolutionary driving concepts to the Intelligent Cockpit with numerous “Digital Extras” and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Mercedes-Benz aims to concretely demonstrate its commitment to autonomous driving technologies.
- DRIVE PILOT Experience: Visitors will have the opportunity to take the wheel of an all-electric EQS or S-Class equipped with DRIVE PILOT, the world’s fastest legally approved conditionally autonomous driving system (Level 3). This system, which can take control of the vehicle at speeds of up to 95 km/h on select highway sections in Germany, will be available for testing with experts.
- MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO: In a specially designed CLA model, the brand’s MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO system, which includes point-to-point autonomous driving functions, will be available for experience during assisted driving.
