MOVA and KONDA Reveal Turkey’s Smart Living Mapping

A comprehensive study conducted by MOVA and KONDA Research has mapped the evolving landscape of smart living in Turkey, highlighting how artificial intelligence and smart home technologies are reshaping daily routines. The research, which surveyed 1,454 individuals across urban and metropolitan areas, reveals that smart devices—led by robot vacuums—have transitioned from luxury novelties to essential household assistants. Coinciding with these findings, MOVA has officially launched its IFA 2026 flagship models, the V70 Ultra Complete and Z70 Ultra Roller Complete, in the Turkish market to meet the growing consumer demand for advanced home automation.
- Data indicates that 62% of the general population utilizes artificial intelligence tools, with adoption rates reaching 94% among university students.
- Robot vacuums currently represent the primary smart home investment for 65% of surveyed participants.
- Users with smart home technology save an average of 3.3 hours weekly, a figure that increases to 6.7 hours in homes with five or more devices.
Artificial Intelligence Integrates Into Household Routines
The KONDA-led survey highlights a significant shift in how Turkish households perceive domestic responsibility. Technology is no longer viewed as a theoretical interest but as a practical solution for delegating repetitive chores such as cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing. Among those who own robot vacuums, 72% report using AI-integrated tools regularly. Notably, the adoption rate among the 18–29 age demographic is remarkably high at 88%, suggesting that the next generation views smart automation as a fundamental component of modern life.
Interestingly, the study identifies that robot vacuums are the central pillar of the smart home experience. While televisions, smartphones, and smart refrigerators are present in many homes, 74% of robot vacuum owners define their device as the primary symbol of an automated household. This technology is increasingly seen as a partner in maintaining domestic order rather than a status symbol, as only 4% of participants cited social status as their reason for purchasing such devices.
Time Savings Enhance Daily Life Quality
The research emphasizes the tangible benefits of smart technology, specifically the gift of time. Users who incorporate smart devices into their homes reclaim significant portions of their week, with robot vacuum owners gaining an average of 4.6 hours. This saved time is predominantly redirected toward rest, sleep, and quality interaction with family members.
Furthermore, the emotional bond between the user and the device is growing. A surprising 42% of robot vacuum owners give their devices specific names, treating them as integral, albeit mechanical, members of the household. This behavior reflects a high level of trust and satisfaction with the performance of these autonomous systems.
New Robot Vacuum Models Target the Turkish Market
To address the increasing reliance on domestic automation, MOVA is introducing its latest innovations to Turkey. The V70 Ultra Complete and Z70 Ultra Roller Complete models, which debuted at IFA 2026, are designed to handle complex cleaning tasks with ease.
V70 Ultra Complete Offers Superior Performance
The V70 Ultra Complete is engineered for precision, featuring a powerful 42,000 Pa suction capacity. Its proprietary MaxiReachX™ system allows the mop and side brushes to extend into corners and under furniture, ensuring no area is neglected. Additionally, the StepMaster™ 2.0 technology enables the unit to navigate over obstacles up to 9 cm in height, while the EcoCyclone™ dust bin minimizes the need for manual maintenance.
Z70 Ultra Roller Complete Enhances Floor Care
Focusing on comprehensive floor washing, the Z70 Ultra Roller Complete utilizes a 36,000 Pa suction motor alongside the HydroForce™ Mopping 2.0 architecture. This model features a specialized 270 mm microfiber roller that continuously supplies fresh water while separating dirty water in real-time. With AI-driven obstacle detection and AutoShield™ carpet protection, this model represents the latest in smart cleaning hardware available to Turkish consumers.
