Lenovo has launched the Legion R7000 2025 in China, a new addition to its gaming laptop series. The new model is equipped with AMD’s Ryzen 7 H255 processor and Nvidia’s next-generation RTX 5050 graphics. Lenovo offers a powerful alternative, particularly for AAA games and creative work.
Legion R7000 2025 Released
The Ryzen 7 H255 processor is built on the 4nm Zen 4 architecture. This chip, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads, can reach single-core frequencies of up to 4.9 GHz. Equipped with integrated Radeon 780M graphics, the processor also delivers sufficient performance in scenarios requiring system graphics. The device also aims to increase efficiency in multitasking.

The RTX 5050, a notable graphics feature, is built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture. The graphics card, featuring 8GB of GDDR7 memory, operates over a 128-bit data bus. This GPU, which supports real-time ray tracing, DLSS 4, and Dynamic Boost 2.0, delivers higher frame rates and visual quality in games. Lenovo specifies the GPU’s peak power output as 115W, while the total TDP of the system can reach up to 170W when the CPU and GPU are working together.
On the display side, the Legion R7000 2025 features a 15.3-inch 2560×1600 resolution LCD panel. Its 180Hz refresh rate and response time, which can be reduced to 3ms with overclocking, make it particularly suitable for fast-paced games.
Thanks to 400 nits of brightness and a 100% sRGB color gamut, images are both vibrant and color-accurate. The panel supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring tear-free viewing. TÜV Rheinland certification aims to ensure visual comfort during extended use.
On the hardware front, the Legion R7000 comes out of the box with 16GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The keyboard features Lenovo’s TrueStrike 2.0 technology. Its 1.6mm key travel, full-size arrow keys, a numeric keypad, and customizable backlighting offer an ergonomic design suitable for both gaming and office use.
Connectivity options include a USB-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 and 140W Power Delivery, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet, multiple USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device can switch to hybrid graphics without rebooting. Legion Zone software allows users to fine-tune performance modes and fan settings.
The device weighs approximately 2kg and packs a 60Wh battery. The model comes with a compact 245W adapter and also supports 140W fast charging via USB-C. This feature allows the battery to reach 70% in just 30 minutes of charging.
The Legion R7000 2025 comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and includes a lifetime license for Microsoft Office Home Edition. The Lenovo Legion R7000 2025, which retails for 7499 yuan in China, or approximately $1040, is expected to be available globally in the near future.
