Google has officially taken the wraps off the Pixel Watch 4, its latest smartwatch loaded with smarter AI, better battery life, and even emergency satellite communication. Unveiled at the Made by Google event, the new watch is available for preorder now and launches on October 9.
Pixel Watch 4 brings major upgrades to design and durability

Available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, the Pixel Watch 4 starts at $349 and $399 for Wi-Fi models, or $449 and $499 for LTE versions. The new Actua 360 display features a curved, domed shape that increases active screen area by 10% and slims down bezels by 16%. It also hits a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making it 50% brighter than before.
The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters and, for the first time, includes a replaceable battery and screen, finally making it serviceable for long-term use.
Emergency satellite support and smarter voice AI
A standout new feature exclusive to the LTE models is emergency satellite connectivity. When out of cellular range, users can send SOS signals via geo-stationary satellites similar to premium smartphones, but now on your wrist.
Users can now raise their wrist to access Gemini AI, removing the need to say “Hey Google” or press buttons. The Pixel Watch 4 also adds on-device AI for Smart Replies, helping users respond to messages faster with context-aware suggestions.
Pixel Watch 4 improves battery, charging, and sensors
Google says the smaller watch now delivers up to 30 hours of battery life, while the larger one stretches that to 40 hours. There’s also a new magnetic fast-charging dock included in the box.
Under the hood, a next-gen ML-powered co-processor promises 25% faster performance while using half the power, giving the Pixel Watch 4 a serious efficiency boost.
Advanced fitness and wellness tracking just got smarter
Health tracking is sharper than ever. The watch tracks sleep stages with 18% more accuracy and adds a skin temperature sensor to detect wellness changes. The new dual-frequency GPS improves accuracy in dense environments like forests or city centers.
And if you forget to start a workout? AI will recognize and log your activity anyway.
New workout types include:
- Basketball
- Pickleball
- Strength and HIIT training
- Outdoor runs and city walks
Google is also rolling out a personal AI health coach this October. It’ll offer coaching and guidance based on your own data, helping answer questions like “Is this cold plunge helping?” or “What’s the best way to beat jet lag?”
Pixel Watch 4 hits stores on October 9
