Google just narrowed the launch window for Gemini for Android Auto, and it’s looking closer than ever. After months of vague promises, the company finally dropped a more focused hint during its Made by Google event this week, pointing toward a fall release across multiple platforms.
Gemini for Android Auto is almost in gear

Back in May, during Google I/O, executives confirmed that Gemini would be integrated into Android Auto at some point “in the coming months.” It wasn’t much to go on. This week, Google’s Rick Osterloh gave us a firmer clue.
Speaking on stage, he noted:
“This fall, it’s going to be coming to your car, your TV, and your speakers and smart displays.”
That narrows things down to a three-month window: September, October, or November. It’s not a date, but it’s the clearest signal yet that Gemini for Android Auto isn’t far behind the latest Pixel devices.
Google TV is getting Gemini, too
It’s not just cars on Gemini’s roadmap. Osterloh also confirmed that Google TV will get its own taste of the AI assistant this fall. That aligns with earlier comments from Google, which previously committed to bringing Gemini to more screens “later this year.”
Expectations have been building since the original teaser at I/O. Now, the timeline is tightening.
Where Gemini already works
While Android Auto and Google TV are still waiting, Gemini is already live on:
- Pixel and Android phones
- Pixel Watch
- Pixel Buds earbuds
With its planned expansion to smart displays and speakers too, Google’s goal is clear: make Gemini available anywhere your voice can reach.
Gemini for Android Auto still lacks a firm date
Even with the seasonal window, Google hasn’t given an exact release day. But the language shift from vague “months” to a defined “fall” marks a step forward. And with Pixel 10 now official, Gemini’s rollout is picking up speed.
