Ubisoft has made an exciting announcement for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the game that returns the series to its roots and has received positive reviews from critics. An official announcement made during the 2025 ESports World Cup in Riyadh confirmed that new, completely free content will be added to the game in 2025.
Journey to the City of Al-Ula with the Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC
Previously rumored to be a DLC funded by Savvy Games Group, supported by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), the new content will take players from the crowded streets of Baghdad to a completely new landscape. The new story and missions will take place in 9th-century Al-Ula, an ancient oasis city located in Medina Governorate, modern-day Saudi Arabia.
Ubisoft stated that in addition to the new adventure, the package will also include general updates that will further enhance the base game.
With its approximately 15-hour main story and compelling side content, Assassin’s Creed Mirage offered a more compact and focused experience than the series’ massive RPG titles. Offering players a classic stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed experience without being overwhelmed by RPG mechanics, the game will be extended with this new, free content.
While a release date hasn’t yet been confirmed, the Al-Ula expansion, slated for release in 2025, offers a fantastic opportunity for those looking to return to Mirage’s vibrant world or start fresh.
