Apple is preparing to unveil new iPhone models at its “Awe Dropping” event on September 9th. With this launch, sales of some older Apple devices will be discontinued. This means these devices will no longer be sold in Apple Stores, but will be available through other channels such as e-commerce sites and retail stores.
Some Apple Devices Will Be Discontinued
With the arrival of the new iPhone 17 series, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be discontinued from Apple’s own stores. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will remain available with reduced prices.

However, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be discontinued entirely, with the new iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max replacing them. Instead of reducing the price of the year-old Pro models, Apple is opting to discontinue them altogether.
Besides iPhones, there will also be changes to the Apple Watch and AirPods lineup. With the launch of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are expected to be discontinued from Apple stores. Second-generation AirPods Pro are also expected to be discontinued.
Meanwhile, Apple’s most affordable entry-level iPhone, the iPhone 16e, is expected to remain on sale. If the third-generation Apple Watch SE is unveiled at the event, the second-generation model will also be discontinued.
