Porsche is preparing to make one of its most ambitious moves in the luxury SUV segment. The striking technical details of the long-developed, all-electric next-generation Cayenne, codenamed “E4,” have been revealed through special prototype test drives. Features such as over 1,000 horsepower, record-breaking charging speeds, and a range exceeding 600 km will revolutionize the electric SUV market.
The Electric Porsche Cayenne Will Charge in 15 Minutes
The new Cayenne will be powered by the permanent magnet synchronous motors used in the Macan and Taycan, but Porsche has taken these motors to a much higher level. All versions will feature dual-motor, all-wheel drive, and three power outputs are expected:

- Cayenne 4 (Entry-Level): Approximately 300 kW.
- Cayenne 4S (Mid-Level): Power between 450 and 515 kW.
- Cayenne Turbo (Top Version): Over 1,000 horsepower (735 kW) with Launch Control.
The Turbo version, in particular, is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds and to 200 km/h in under ten seconds. Despite weighing nearly three tons, this performance demonstrates Porsche’s engineering prowess.
The charging technology is as breathtaking as the performance. The vehicle will feature a larger 113 kWh (108 kWh usable) battery than the Macan EV. Thanks to an advanced liquid cooling system, charging power is expected to increase from 270 kW to 400 kW. This means the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes at a compatible station. Porsche claims a 10-minute charge will provide a range of 300 km (WLTP). The top-of-the-line version is expected to have a range of over 600 km.
Despite its immense weight, Porsche is determined to ensure the Cayenne handles like a sports car. A rear-axle steering system offering up to five degrees of steering angle and electronically controlled dampers will maximize the vehicle’s cornering agility and driving dynamics.
The world premiere of the new electric Porsche Cayenne will take place in November. The vehicle’s exact technical specifications and pricing will also be announced at the launch. With this model, Porsche opens a new chapter in the electric SUV segment while maintaining the existing internal combustion and hybrid Cayenne versions on the road.
