OpenAI, a company frequently cited for its artificial intelligence technologies, announced the development of a new platform to rival Microsoft-owned LinkedIn. This platform, called the “OpenAI Jobs Platform,” is expected to launch in mid-2026.
The OpenAI Jobs Platform is Coming
The platform’s primary goal is to use AI to accurately match job seekers with employers. OpenAI Applications Division CEO Fidji Simo stated that finding the positions or skills they’re looking for isn’t always easy, and that this platform will connect candidates of all levels with companies that have AI knowledge or need support in specific areas.

In a post on his personal X account, Simo emphasized the importance of the new platform and the “OpenAI-Certified” program. He stated that AI will create many new jobs, while some will undergo radical transformation.
“The OpenAI Jobs Platform will connect employees skilled in AI with companies needing expertise in this field,” Simo said. “With the OpenAI-Certified program, employees will be able to develop their AI skills and officially certify them.”
OpenAI has been in the news not only with its new platform project but also with other developments. The company acquired Statsig, a company that helps companies developing their products with A/B testing, for $1.1 billion.
Following this acquisition, Statsig’s founder and CEO, Vijaye Raji, took over as CTO of Applications at OpenAI. The company had previously appointed Fidji Simo as CEO of this division.
