Bandai Namco’s Pac-Man-inspired adventure Shadow Labyrinth has received a new update. Version 1.0.4 is now live on all platforms, including Switch and Switch 2, and it brings bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life changes. The studio also opened a survey so players can share feedback through September 21, 2025.
Shadow Labyrinth patch 1.0.4 fixes

The latest patch addresses multiple stability and progression issues. Key fixes include:
- Swordsman not appearing in the “Red Crystal Room” at Barren Volcano
- Time continues to count during sleep mode in save slots
- Characters get stuck in walls under certain conditions
- Boss fight crashes and unplayable states during GAIA and Orange Bragza encounters
- Event duplication in the space battleship area
- Mini-pack mode crashes and terrain bugs during Lord of Gluttony battles
- Withered Volcano MAZE boss crash if the timer expired at the screen edge
Other minor display problems were corrected as well.
Gameplay adjustments in Shadow Labyrinth
Alongside bug fixes, update 1.0.4 makes several balance changes:
- HP Limit Boost perk no longer disappears after death
- Reduced the aura and materials needed for merchant items
- Lowered aura costs for leveling attack power and ESP (LV.1–LV.3)
- Reduced aura requirements for emergency escape devices and information purchases
- Boss battles now restart directly when retrying in a MAZE
- Increased default lives in MAZEs
- Relaxed clear times for multiple G-Host Bragza encounters
- Adjusted mini-pack controls and jump guide settings
- Tweaked the behavior of some bosses

The development team says it will continue monitoring player feedback while exploring further gameplay improvements. A live survey is open until September 21, 2025, giving players a direct way to shape the game’s evolution.
With update 1.0.4, Shadow Labyrinth smooths out its rough edges and makes progression more forgiving, offering a stronger experience for both new players and returning fans.
