ASUS has added a brand new member to its ROG gaming series: the 27-inch ROG Strix XG27ACMEG. Available in China, this model stands out with its starting price of 2,099 yuan (approximately $294). It comes in both black and white. Here are the details of this monitor, which also stands out with its performance.
A New 27-inch Monitor Designed for Gaming: ROG Strix XG27ACMEG
The ROG Strix XG27ACMEG features a 2560 x 1440 pixel (WQHD) resolution and fast IPS panel technology. This panel offers an overclocked refresh rate of up to 260Hz and an ultra-low response time of 0.3ms.

The monitor supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies for a smooth gaming experience. Additionally, ASUS’s ELMB Sync (Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync) feature minimizes motion blur, even at high frame rates. Variable Overdrive 2.0 technology ensures a clear image at all times by automatically adjusting the response time according to the frame rate.
This monitor, certified for DisplayHDR 400, can reach peak brightness up to 400 nits. Using an 8-bit + FRC configuration for 10-bit color depth, the display covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 130 percent of the sRGB space. Each monitor is factory-calibrated and comes with a calibration report.
To give gamers an edge, ASUS has also incorporated AI-powered features like Dynamic Crosshair and Dynamic Shadow Boost. These features make aiming easier and enhance details in dark areas.
The XG27ACMEG is rich in ports; It features one HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and 15W power supply, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The monitor also supports VESA 100 x 100mm mounting for added convenience.
The monitor, with its minimalist and industrial design, comes with an ergonomically focused stand. This stand allows for adjustable screen height, swivel, vertical pivot, and tilt. These settings can be easily managed via the ASUS DisplayWidget Center software.
