Moto G36 Might Launch With a 7,000mAh Battery and Dual Cameras

Motorola could soon drop another budget battery beast. Leaks now suggest the Moto G36 will feature a massive 7,000mAh battery, matching the recently launched Moto G06 Power and surpassing previous models like the G86 Power.

TENAA certification for a device labeled XT2533-4 points to what may be Motorola’s next long-lasting phone. According to the listing, the battery has a rated capacity of 6,790mAh, which usually translates to a typical capacity of 7,000mAh, the same as the G06 Power. If confirmed, this would tie it for the largest battery in Motorola’s lineup.

Despite that, the phone reportedly weighs 210 grams, making it slightly lighter than the Moto G06 Power (220g). Motorola also appears to be keeping things practical with 33W wired charging.

The TENAA listing reveals a 6.72-inch IPS LCD with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. While no refresh rate is listed, Motorola has typically leaned into 120Hz panels, even in budget models, so that’s a likely feature.

Camera-wise, the Moto G36 is set to include:

    • 50MP main sensor
    • 8MP ultrawide
    • 32MP front-facing camera

Performance specs point to an unknown chip with a 2.4GHz prime core, possibly an upgrade over the Unisoc T760 found in the Moto G35. RAM and storage configurations may range from 4GB + 64GB up to a possible 16GB + 512GB, though it’s unclear if those upper-tier variants will make it to production.

Visually, leaked images show the Moto G36 with a larger rear camera island and a faux leather finish in purple. It appears to borrow styling cues from mid-range models while keeping cost-saving materials.

The Moto G36 is expected to launch in China first. However, given Motorola’s history, a global release will likely follow especially in markets where battery life trumps flagship power.

If the leaks hold true, here’s what the Moto G36 may bring:

    • 7,000mAh battery (6,790mAh rated)
    • 33W fast charging
    • 6.72-inch FHD+ display
    • 50MP + 8MP dual rear cameras
    • 32MP selfie camera
    • Up to 16GB RAM + 512GB storage
    • Faux leather back, new camera design

With that kind of battery and a decent spec mix, the Moto G36 may carve out a solid niche for users who care more about endurance than raw performance. It’s shaping up to be another reminder that sometimes, more battery beats more bells and whistles.
