As the wait for the second season of the live-action series One Piece, which premiered in 2023 and garnered widespread acclaim, continues, Netflix has released a new trailer. The series will premiere in 2026.
One Piece is Coming with a New Season
Ahead of the delayed second season, Netflix released the first trailer a few weeks ago. Now, a new video featuring behind-the-scenes footage has been released. Like the first season, this video follows the young pirate Monkey D. Luffy on his journey to find the legendary treasure One Piece and the friends he makes along the way.
In the new season, the main cast—the flexible Luffy, the swordsman Roronoa Zoro, the sharpshooter Usopp, the talented chef Sanji, and the clever explorer Nami—embark on colorful adventures. New cast members for the second season have also been announced. Mikaela Hoover, Charithra Chandran, Katey Sagal, David Dastmalchian, Callum Kerr, and Joe Manganiello will star in the new season.
Another development that brought joy to the series’ fans was the renewal of a third season before the second season even aired. With Netflix’s official confirmation, filming for the third season will begin before the end of this year. The exact release date for the second season has not yet been announced.
