Konya has taken a major step toward expanding environmentally friendly transportation within the city. The Konya Metropolitan Municipality has signed an agreement with Tripy, an electric bike-sharing platform under the umbrella of MİA Teknoloji.
An electric bike-sharing system will be established in Konya.
This agreement was signed between KONBELTAŞ, a subsidiary of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, and Tripy. A 10-year contract worth 21,331,939 TL will establish a citywide electric bike-sharing system. As part of this project, the bikes will be placed in busy areas of the city and made available for use.

Users will use a mobile app to access the electric bikes, which they can rent. While pricing for the bikes has not yet been announced, Tripy is known to use a per-minute pricing model for its current services.
With Konya being designated the European Bicycle Capital for 2026, this project is considered a strategic move supporting the vision of environmentally friendly transportation. The statement states that this investment will contribute to Konya’s goals of promoting cycling.
This agreement strengthens Tripy’s position in the Turkish market and is a significant step in Konya’s recognition as an environmentally friendly and sustainable city in the international arena. Tripy is a platform that has previously implemented electric bike-sharing systems in other cities.
The company’s experience in this field is contributing to the successful implementation of the project in Konya. Konya’s geographical location and extensive network of bike paths provide a suitable environment for the widespread adoption of electric bikes in urban transportation.
