Cadillac’s entry-level electric vehicle, the Optiq, arrives with significant upgrades for the 2026 model year. The new model offers increased power, more features, and access to Tesla Superchargers with a built-in NACS charging port, all while being more affordable than the previous model. Here are the new Cadillac Optiq specifications and pricing.
Cadillac Optiq Returns with the 2026 Model
The 2025 Optiq launched earlier this year as Cadillac’s most affordable electric SUV, starting at $54,390. According to Cadillac, more than 75% of Optiq buyers are new to the brand, and the 2026 model is poised to further increase this number. Initially available only with all-wheel drive (AWD), the Optiq is available with a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) powertrain option for the 2026 model.

The new RWD setup delivers 315 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The 2026 Optiq AWD, meanwhile, boasts a significant increase in performance thanks to its new dual-motor powertrain, producing 440 horsepower and 675 Nm of torque. This is a significant upgrade from the previous AWD model’s 300 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque.
The more powerful Optiq-V model, now joining the lineup, boasts 519 horsepower and 881 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds. The 2026 Optiq is also the first GM electric vehicle to feature a built-in NACS port, allowing charging at more than 21,500 Tesla Superchargers in North America.

Inside, Cadillac’s entry-level EV stands out with its segment-leading 33-inch diagonal LED display and best-in-class rear cargo volume (up to 736 liters). While official EPA range figures have not yet been released, GM estimates that the 2026 Optiq RWD models will offer a range of 310 miles, while the AWD models will offer a range of 288 miles.
The new 2026 Cadillac Optiq RWD is less expensive than the previous base model, starting at $52,395. Upgrading to AWD costs an additional $3,500 on all trims. The performance-oriented Optiq-V comes standard with AWD.
