The future of Alien: Earth, which recently concluded its first season, remains uncertain. The eight-episode first season concluded with an open-ended ending, sparking rumors of a second season. Series creator Noah Hawley made statements that piqued viewers’ curiosity.
Alien: Earth may get a second season
Noah Hawley stated that he intentionally left the finale open-ended. Whether the series will continue depends on audience interest. Hawley described the project as “a test run to see if enough people around the world want to watch Alien.” He stated that if the series reaches a sufficient audience, a second or even a third season could be produced.

Hawley’s comments suggest that a potential second season would have a larger budget and a more comprehensive story. However, Disney, which will make this decision, has not yet made an official statement. Hawley said that this will become clearer in the next month or two.
As its name suggests, the series takes the story to Earth. It takes place in 2120, two years before the first Alien film. It begins with a mysterious ship crashing on Earth.
A young woman and a group of soldiers set out to find survivors on the ship, facing the greatest threat the planet has ever seen. As they struggle to survive, major corporations in the background struggle for power over this “opportunity.”
