A long-debated question in the tech world has been answered: Samsung’s next flagship phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is launching with a new S Pen. Rumors that South Korean tech giant Samsung would make radical changes to its top-of-the-line model focused primarily on the future of the S Pen. Recent details put a definitive end to these discussions.
The S Pen will be completely revamped
According to reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra breaks with the sharp, angular design of previous Ultra models. The device will feature a curved, fluid body design more in line with other models in the series. This design change represents a departure from the Ultra aesthetic that has been reminiscent of the Galaxy Note series for years.
Besides the design change, the fate of the S Pen was the biggest source of uncertainty. Samsung’s removal of S Pen support from the Galaxy Z Fold 7 this year caused concern among users. Many analysts even suggested that the S Pen would be completely removed from future Ultra models in an effort to achieve a slimmer profile.
However, recent leaks refute these claims. Images released on the X platform, purportedly of the S26 Ultra, clearly show a revamped S Pen stylus. These images suggest the S Pen will have a more curved appearance, in line with the device’s body design.
Tech enthusiasts are also eagerly awaiting the launch date of the new Galaxy S26 series. Rumors suggest the new models will officially debut in January 2026, just like the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. The device is expected to be unveiled in January with its updated design and stylus.
