E-ink picture frame built to last years on one charge
Because e-ink screens only use energy when changing images, Fraimic’s displays boast a battery life of up to five years. A USB-C port handles charging, and setup is handled locally, no accounts, subscriptions, or cloud services required. That alone makes this e-ink picture frame stand out from the crowd.
AMD’s HB-DIMM RAM design promises to double DDR5 speeds to 12.8 Gbps while keeping compatibility with current consumer and server systems.
E-ink picture frame adds voice and AI features
Fraimic includes built-in microphones for voice commands. Users can swap pictures or generate new ones using onboard AI, which adds a layer of interactivity rarely seen in this category. Even better, a firmware update arriving after launch will add two new modes:
- Movie Mode – Automatically displays the poster of the film you’re watching
- Music Mode – Shows album covers pulled from Spotify

The campaign runs through October 22. Prices start at $299 for the 13.3-inch model, with the 31.5-inch version priced at $729. Shipping is set for May 2026. However, since this is Fraimic’s first campaign, buyers should be aware of possible delays.
