E-ink picture frame Fraimic brings interactive wall art to life
Fraimic wants to change how digital art lives in your home. Its new e-ink picture frame lineup ranges from 13.3 to 31.5 inches, combining smart features, low power use, and striking design in a single package.
E-ink picture frame built to last years on one charge

Because e-ink screens only use energy when changing images, Fraimic’s displays boast a battery life of up to five years. A USB-C port handles charging, and setup is handled locally, no accounts, subscriptions, or cloud services required. That alone makes this e-ink picture frame stand out from the crowd.

E-ink picture frame adds voice and AI features
Fraimic includes built-in microphones for voice commands. Users can swap pictures or generate new ones using onboard AI, which adds a layer of interactivity rarely seen in this category. Even better, a firmware update arriving after launch will add two new modes:
- Movie Mode – Automatically displays the poster of the film you’re watching
- Music Mode – Shows album covers pulled from Spotify
These updates aim to make the frame responsive to your environment, not just decorative.
Modular design, flexible fit
Fraimic lets users move the e-ink display between frames with minimal effort. This flexibility gives homeowners the chance to match styles as tastes evolve without buying a new device.
Kickstarter pricing and expected release
The campaign runs through October 22. Prices start at $299 for the 13.3-inch model, with the 31.5-inch version priced at $729. Shipping is set for May 2026. However, since this is Fraimic’s first campaign, buyers should be aware of possible delays.
Smart frame, sharper future
With bold features and ultra-low energy use, Fraimic’s e-ink picture frame offers a smarter take on digital art. If it ships as promised, it could finally make smart frames worth the wall space.
