Netflix’s popular fantasy series The Witcher is set to return to screens next month with its fourth season. Netflix, eager to revive the series, which experienced a significant decline in popularity after its second season, has stepped up its promotional efforts ahead of the new season and has finally released the highly anticipated first full-length trailer.
The Witcher is Coming with Season 4
The fourth season will see significant changes for the series. Henry Cavill, who played Geralt in the first three seasons, is leaving the series, and Liam Hemsworth will now take over the role. This critical casting change is expected to impact the storyline.
Some speculation suggests that Geralt will be relegated to the background. Ciri and Yennefer, who have been central to the story since the third season, will continue to play equally significant and central roles in the fourth season.
In addition to Liam Hemsworth, the series has also welcomed several other notable newcomers. Among the veteran cast members are Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), Sharlto Copley (District 9), James Purefoy (Rome), and Danny Woodburn.
Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer, whose paths were separated by war at the end of the third season, will continue their separate paths in the new season, facing new enemies and forming unexpected friendships. Fans eagerly await The Witcher Season 4, which premieres on October 30th, will also mark the beginning of the series’ final journey. According to Netflix’s plan, The Witcher, which will bid farewell after its fifth season, will launch the first part of its two-season finale with the fourth season.
