After a long hiatus, Motorola has officially begun preparations for its return to the Turkish market. The company aims to make a strong re-entry into the market with its new partnership with İndeks Bilgisayar.
İndeks Bilgisayar is active in the Turkish market with Motorola
İndeks Bilgisayar, one of Turkey’s leading technology distributors, announced that it has begun negotiations with Lenovo Ireland International Ltd. for the distribution of Motorola-branded smartphones and accessories. This development was made public in an official notification submitted to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on October 30th.

Furthermore, according to the notification submitted to the KAP, these negotiations represent the first step in the agreement that will re-enter Motorola products in Turkey. This will allow Motorola to return to the market, which it has been absent from for a long time, with a strong partner.
Official confirmation has also been received from Lenovo, the owner of the Motorola brand. Lenovo Turkey Country Manager Emre Hantaloğlu said, “I have previously stated that we are highly likely to bring Motorola-branded smartphones to Turkey. Now, this process has officially begun.”
Hantaloğlu also stated that details would be shared in the coming days. As a reminder, Lenovo acquired the Motorola Mobility division from Google in 2014.
An official launch date has not yet been announced. However, technology sources indicate that Motorola will enter the Turkish market with new global models. These devices include foldable phones like the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra and flagship models like the Edge 50 Pro. The brand’s ThinkPhone by Motorola is also expected to be available for the professional segment.
Motorola ceased operations in Turkey in 2015-2016. The brand’s return represents a new alternative in a market with strong competitors such as Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Honor. Motorola aims to stand out with its innovative design and pure Android experience.
Indeks Bilgisayar will leverage its distribution experience with Lenovo products to rebuild the brand’s sales and service network for Motorola. Once the distributorship agreement is finalized, the first products are expected to go on sale in Turkey very soon.
