The Marvel-Insomniac partnership stands out as one of the most enduring partnerships in the gaming world. According to recent developments, this successful partnership won’t end anytime soon. The Marvel Games General Manager officially confirmed that their partnership with Insomniac Games will “last for many years.”
Marvel Insomniac Collaboration: Post-Wolverine Plans
Marvel Games General Manager Haluk Menteş made important statements about their relationship with Insomniac Games in an interview with Game Informer. Menteş stated that Marvel now considers Insomniac Games part of the “Marvel family.” This strong bond demonstrates that the studio has become the “go-to” team for Marvel’s core IPs.

Menteş emphasized that the shared culture and values between the two companies are the key to this long-term partnership. He added, “We are very proud to continue working together for many years to come.” This announcement confirms that Insomniac Games will continue developing Marvel games for PlayStation, even after Marvel’s Wolverine, which is set for release in 2026. He stated that Insomniac Games epitomizes this philosophy and has been working with the studio for over a decade.
In explaining their collaborative philosophy, Menteş also detailed the approach they follow when adapting Marvel characters. He explained that the real challenge for them isn’t to be faithful to the source material (comics, animation, or films), but rather to allow the teams they collaborate with to reimagine “familiar yet original” interpretations of the characters based on their own creative DNA. He added that their goal is certainly not to be derivative, because what else could be the meaning of working with the best talent in the industry?
Menteş also touched on how Marvel remains so fresh despite being a nearly 90-year-old brand, noting that each new generation grows up with Marvel, then becomes creative, leaves their mark, and then passes the torch to the next generation. He added that they’re looking for collaborators who are willing to take on this sense of responsibility. He explained that once a project is completed, those teams become part of the Marvel family.
