A new Philips Hue Bridge Pro update is rolling out now, bringing a fix for a frustrating Matter pairing issue. Users of the Bridge v2 are receiving the same update as well, with a few extra tweaks under the hood.
Hue Bridge Pro update targets Matter bug

Both the Bridge Pro and Bridge v2 are receiving different firmware numbers: 2071127010 for the Pro and 1974063020 for the v2, but the updates offer the same improvements. The highlight here is a fix for a Matter pairing glitch. This bug had caused problems when users tried to connect new Matter-compatible devices, often due to interference from third-party gear already on the network.
With Matter adoption growing across platforms, Hue’s response helps ensure better compatibility and smoother setup experiences.
Minor improvements come bundled in
Beyond the pairing fix, the Philips Hue Bridge Pro update includes several smaller upgrades. While Philips hasn’t spelled out what these are, changes like this typically boost reliability or speed up device response times. Still, the lack of detail may leave some users guessing.
You can double-check your update status in the Hue app. Just head to:
Settings > Software update > Automatic update
If auto-updates are active, the new firmware will install on its own.
Philips continues strong update support
This release follows another recent fix that addressed a LAN IP address issue on the Bridge Pro. Although the Bridge v2 is older, Philips continues to support it with identical feature patches, reassuring long-time users of the ecosystem.
Both versions of the firmware are now making their way to devices. If you haven’t seen the prompt yet, you should receive it within days. Thanks to the Philips Hue Bridge Pro update, users can expect a more stable smart home experience with fewer connection headaches.
