Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Artistic Direction
The game transforms the characters, designed by renowned manga artist Akira Toriyama, into a charming 3D art style. This design feels as if they were real-world dolls. Environmental elements and dungeons have also been recreated in a unique diorama style, making the Dragon Quest world appear as if it were a beautifully hand-drawn, lifelike model. Yet, the game remains faithful to the original story. The adventure is more fluid and easy to follow, making gameplay easier.
The turn-based battle system in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined has been made more fun and exciting. The new Vocation system offers players great opportunities. For example, the “Moonlighting” feature allows players to use two professions simultaneously. “Let Loose,” a special move that can be used when the character is in a state of euphoria, is also new to the system. A new profession, “Monster Master,” has also been added, granting the ability to summon powerful monsters. All these changes will make battles much more dynamic than before.
In addition to the main story, players can enjoy entertaining side quests, additional stories, and mini-games. To unlock and explore new worlds, you must find items and complete tablets. Each world is filled with vibrant towns, challenging dungeons, and entertaining quests, providing players with plenty to explore. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will launch on PC on February 5, 2026.
