Domestic technology manufacturer Reeder has taken a significant step into the electric vehicle market. The company announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with China-based Leaderhub Technology and Haibao Technologies. This agreement covers the production of next-generation electric golf carts and light-duty vehicles. A new joint venture company based in Turkey has been established for production operations.
Reeder reaches agreement with Chinese giants: New electric vehicles on the way
According to the official announcement, this collaboration will be carried out under a joint venture called “NordeeC Mobility.” Samsun has been designated as the headquarters for this new venture. The agreement’s primary goal is to make Samsun a major production and export hub in the global mobility ecosystem. Reeder will manage all processes for these vehicles, including R&D, design, production, and global sales, from Turkey.

Production plans are also beginning to emerge. Pilot production of the electric golf cart will take place at Reeder’s existing production facilities in Samsun. This pilot production is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The export strategy is quite ambitious. Initial sales will begin in the US market, followed by expansion into the Middle East and Europe.
Reeder CEO Uygar Saral stated that this development is a significant step for both Reeder and Turkey. Saral emphasized that they are making Turkey the production center of next-generation electric vehicle technologies through the NordeeC Mobility initiative. Saral stated that the facility in Samsun will have an annual production capacity of 35,000 units and will meet demand from the US market. He also added that this project will create skilled jobs in Samsun and the surrounding area and contribute to Turkey’s high-tech exports.
Several notable features of the electric vehicles to be produced under the NordeeC Mobility umbrella were also shared. These vehicles stand out with their high-torque electric motors and low operating costs. They will also feature advanced multimedia displays, CarPlay and Android Auto support, and silent driving technology. It was also stated that the models, which seat up to four people and have comfortable seating, are already seeing strong demand in the US market.
Reeder’s new move into electric golf and utility vehicle production demonstrates the company’s expansion of its scope. What are your thoughts on these moves by domestic technology manufacturers targeting different sectors? Share your thoughts in the comments.
