India’s smartphone and tablet market is poised to welcome a brand new player soon: Philips. Of course, this comeback is being driven by a local company (Zenotel), which has acquired the rights to the Philips name. The company has been hinting at a launch for several weeks, and today, the specifications of one of the first devices to carry the Philips brand have been leaked.
Philips Pad Air Specifications Leaked!
The leaked device is called the Philips Pad Air. Based on this naming, it’s assumed that it will be a tablet. The device will be powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, designed for the mid-range segment. This chipset will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Pad Air’s display is reportedly expected to have a 2K resolution, expected to deliver a vibrant content consumption experience, and a 90Hz refresh rate for a smooth display. To support extended battery life, the device will be powered by a large 7,000mAh battery. On the charging side, it will support 18W wired charging, sufficient for daily use.
According to leaked information, the Philips Pad Air is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year, before the end of March. It’s also been reported that Zenotel won’t be limited to tablets under the Philips brand. The company reportedly plans to introduce a range of products, including smartwatches and laptops, to the Indian market in 2026. This expansion signals an ambitious strategy that will re-establish the Philips brand’s presence in mobile and consumer electronics.
