WhatsApp has begun testing a feature that fundamentally changes the process for users reporting technical glitches and issues on the platform. The app is introducing the ability to report issues instantly by shaking the device.
WhatsApp is testing its new feature
As the app grows and new features are added, the likelihood of encountering errors naturally increases. This makes the error reporting process even more crucial for both users and developers. The latest WhatsApp beta 2.25.34.6 update released for Android introduces this innovation.

The new shake report feature allows users to open a problem reporting form by shaking their device. When the user shakes their phone, WhatsApp opens a screen asking if they want to report the issue.
Immediately after this confirmation, the app automatically takes a screenshot and opens a form detailing the issue. This screenshot plays a crucial role in quickly communicating the user’s issue to developers.
WhatsApp explicitly states that, to protect user privacy, sensitive information such as profile photos will not be included in the screenshot. Users can also remove the automatically captured screenshot through this form if they wish. This new method allows users to quickly report errors as soon as they are noticed.
This allows WhatsApp to identify and resolve issues more quickly. Users also have the option to disable the shake feature in the settings if they do not wish to use it. The feature is currently only available to beta testers. Once this testing phase is complete, the app is expected to be available to all users.
