Disney+ is adding another Turkish series to its roster, following previous Turkish productions like “Actress,” “World and Me Between You,” and “Escape.” Disney Turkey, which premiered “The Eighth Family,” directed by Ali Atay, this week, announced its release this week with a new promotional video. “The Eighth Family” will premiere on Disney+ on November 19th.

The trailer for “The Eighth Family,” shared by Disney, details the story. According to the trailer, the Basmacıgil Family, whose primary profession is bathrobes and towels, becomes the eighth family to rule the world with their project of bulletproof underwear.

Six half-siblings, born to different mothers, embark on a relentless struggle to maintain the family’s position. The siblings struggle to manage crises, find solutions, and make critical decisions. Their well-intentioned desire to run the family business, yet their inability to do so effectively, leads the father, who brought the family to this position through countless hardships, to declare, “We don’t need an external enemy.”

However, when the true enemy emerges, the half-siblings return to their roots. Led by the family’s patriarch, Erol Basmacıgil, the Basmacıgil family embarks on grand adventures both domestically and internationally to maintain their power.
