AYANEO has re-introduced its new gaming handheld console, the NEXT 2. The device stands out with its performance and cooling capacity, positioning it at the top of the gaming console market. The NEXT II is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 processor.
The AYANEO NEXT 2 has been unveiled.
This processor is powered by a Strix Halo APU with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, and the Radeon 8060S graphics card with 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units handles the graphics. AYANEO targets a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 85W for the chip and utilizes a custom dual-fan cooling system with high-density fins to manage this high power output.
The NEXT II features a 9.06-inch OLED display to elevate the user experience. This panel offers a 2400×1504 resolution, 1100 nits of maximum brightness, and a 165Hz refresh rate for a smooth experience. AYANEO states that the display can switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 165Hz.
The display also features 5280Hz PWM dimming. As previously announced, the console’s sole processor option is AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which has a maximum TDP of 85W. Details regarding RAM and storage configurations have not yet been released.
The AYANEO Next II features dual fans equipped with high-efficiency fins for heat dissipation and voltage regulation. The handheld gaming console comes with a massive 115Wh internal battery to support extended gaming sessions.
Other physical features of the device include TMR joysticks, an 8-way D-Pad, dual circular smart touchpads, stereo front speakers, and Hall Effect triggers with trigger locks. The console also features four geometric rear buttons and customizable LC and RC shoulder buttons.
The top of the handset features the Ayaneo RGB nameplate, surrounded by vents, dual USB-C ports, and an audio jack. AYANEO has yet to release pricing and release dates for this powerful Next II handheld.
