Samsung Electronics has announced high-level appointments. TM Roh will continue to oversee the company’s mobile operations as Head of the Mobile Experience (MX) Business Unit, while Vice President Jun will remain in his role as Head of the Memory Business Unit.

To strengthen Samsung’s technology leadership, Janghyun Yoon has been appointed Head of the DX Business Unit, Chief Technology Officer, and Head of Samsung Research, while Hongkun Park has been appointed President of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT).

Yoon, who previously served as CEO of Samsung Venture Investment, was responsible for the development of software platforms, IoT, and Tizen products within the MX Business Unit.

Hongkun Park, currently a Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Harvard University, is a renowned researcher in the fields of nanoscience, quantum science, and engineering.
