The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be the brand’s most ambitious flagship yet, and a fresh leak gives us a better look at what’s coming. With hardware that goes head-to-head with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, Oppo might finally be ready to bring its Ultra line to more than just China.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra leak teases Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

According to insider info shared by Tech Home, the Find X9 Ultra will feature Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip unlike the Find X9 Pro, which launched with a Dimensity 9500. That switch alone positions the Ultra as Oppo’s performance-focused flagship for 2025.
The phone is expected to come with a 6.8-inch flat OLED panel, pushing 2K resolution. If true, that gives it the kind of screen specs that match or even edge out some of its Ultra rivals.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra camera could pack four heavy hitters
Cameras are the real draw here. The leak suggests a quad-camera setup, led by Sony’s new LYTIA 901 200 MP sensor. Backing it up are a 50 MP ultra-wide, a 50 MP periscope zoom, and a mystery mid-range zoom shooter. It’s still unclear if the fourth lens gets a 50 MP or 200 MP sensor.
Oppo might stick with a circular camera bump
While recent devices like the Find X9 Pro and OnePlus 15 lean into rectangular housings, the Find X9 Ultra may go against the trend. Sources hint at a return to the Find X8 Ultra’s circular camera layout a bold choice in a world of sharp angles.
Here’s what the leak suggests so far:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
- 6.8-inch 2K OLED flat display
- 200 MP Sony LYTIA 901 main camera
- Three additional cameras for ultra-wide and zoom
- Possibly a 7,000 mAh battery
- Round camera housing
- Global release likely
Global debut could follow X9 Pro’s success
The Find X9 Pro went global after a China-first launch and it seems Oppo might do the same with the Ultra. With the X9 Pro reportedly selling well in global markets, the brand may finally see value in giving its true flagship a broader release. If so, Samsung and Xiaomi will have one more Ultra to worry about.
