This feature was noticed by Alexey Shabanov from TestingCatalog, and it appears Google has begun a limited rollout over the weekend. Initial impressions suggest the feature isn’t yet publicly available. The source who discovered it even noted that access was enabled on only one of their five accounts, indicating that the integration is currently being tested with a very limited user base. Our checks also showed that this option is not yet active even on Pro accounts.

When users access this feature, clicking the plus (+) icon in the text input box will bring up a new NotebookLM option. When this option is selected, you will be able to process your notes using Google’s latest reasoning models without ever leaving the Gemini application. This eliminates the need to switch between applications, saving users significant time and providing convenience.

However, if the original interface is needed, it is possible to return to the NotebookLM interface in seconds by clicking the “Resources” button. This integration by Google is seen as an important part of its strategy to make its AI tools more efficient and integrated.
