Previously expected to be released in 2026, the device will be officially unveiled next week, according to a statement by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. Xiaomi 17 Ultra to Make a Difference with Camera Features
According to leaks and internal company information, the focus of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be entirely on camera performance. Reliable sources claim the phone will house the largest main camera sensor in the industry. This could allow for clearer and more detailed photos, especially in low-light conditions. It’s also rumored that a dedicated periscope telephoto technology will be integrated into the device, offering superior external telephoto lens support compared to its competitors.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be the newest member of the Xiaomi 17 family, which was introduced in recent months and has garnered considerable attention. The existing models in the family have already attracted attention with their features. In particular, the secondary screen on the back of the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models offered users innovative functions such as notification tracking and selfie taking with the rear cameras. The general technical specifications of the series were as follows:
- Xiaomi 17 Pro: 6.3-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display, 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultra-wide angle, 50 MP 5x periscope telephoto, and 6,300 mAh battery.
